What is NYLT?
NYLT Course Overview

This course models a month in the life of a youth-lead troop or crew – three meetings (one each day for the first three days), all leading up to a big outdoor experience (an overnight outpost camp). This course uses the patrol/team method and presents model unit-level meetings.

Throughout the course, the staff will be modeling the concepts and skills that are the core content of the course. The focus of each session is not only knowledge but also giving the participants a “Toolbox of Skills’ that equips them with the “how.”

SFBAC-NYLT is offered by San Francisco Bay Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. THREE sessions are offered in 2017 -June 12- 17 OR June 18-24 at Rancho Los Mochos, OR new 3-weekend course: Sept 16-17, Sept 22-24, and Oct 7-8. SFBAC-NYLT is open to BOTH Boy Scouts AND Venturers from all Councils.
